Snowflakes
Delicately
Drifting
Floating
Falling
Snowflakes of the past, present and future
Gathering
Softly
Quickly
Feeling a warm glow which grows
Inside
As I walk through the freshly fallen snow.

Two years pass
and still it hurts
Two years since
we layed her to rest
Today she would turn 21.
Todays the day
we do remember
Celebrations or commiserations.

No flowers today
will lay on her grave
and only a few will spare a thought,
but those few
will shed a tear
and realise that a love
so strong
Just goes on and on.

Remembering without sorrow
Knowing that tears are allowed
Pain can be felt within a healthy state of mind
Being able to bounce back into everyday life
Happy in the knowledge that we have loved.

A new star is born,
Each time another soul leaves this earth.
My sky is too crowded
There is no room for the moon

A lonely girl sits.
Alone.
Smoking her last cigarette
Listening to the sad jazz
Music to reflect her mood
As she gazes at photos of friends.
Times lost in times
Memories are her only friends.

Liquorice cigarette paper make her lips taste sweet
Smoke curves up to the heavens
Only to be lost.
Glass of water, pure
But a strange taste is left in her mouth
As she wonders if anything is pure anymore.

Where is life talking her?
Why are all the questions unanswerable?
She wonders if she is who she wants to be.
I wonder why she is me.
